Moses - When Harriet Tubman Led Her People to Freedom

The title "Moses" caught my attention. I was curious how the title and the history of Harriet Tubman was related. I was intrigued by the title at first, but after I have read the book, I was in awe. The book portrays an amazing woman who had an incredible journey of faith and life. It is a very inspirational book that can definitely contribute to children's learning in literature and in life. It shows that when things in life get harder, you will be okay. I never thought I would learn a life lesson through a children's book. It reminded me that I will make it through and I will be okay. Things will get better, you just have to have faith and hope.

The Giving Tree

This book was recommended by my manager. Why was my manager recommending a children's book? I happened to tell her that I was taking a course in children's literature, and she told me that she has tons of books because of her grandchildren. Out of all the books they had at home, she suggested I read "The Giving Tree."
After that being said, I was curious, and went to the bookstore. It was the first book I picked up, sat and read. As I started to read, I was already drawn to it through the pictures and the words. When I finished the book, I felt warm and fuzzy inside. It was a feel good book. It makes you want to be good and better. It was an emotional book that portrayed a special relationship between the boy and the tree. It's very heart warming story that can teach and definitely remind us what relationship is all about.
Those of you who have not read the book, you should check it out. It really does make you feel all warm and fuzzy after reading it. And this book is definitely for everyone, not just children. It's funny how, reading a children's book as an adult can remind you of the little things in life.
